FORWARD BOUND TOWARD THE NEW YEAR
"FORWARD BOUND TOWARD THE NEW YEAR"
JOSHUA 3:1-17
INTRO: Here we are at the THRESHOLD of another NEW YEAR! As we look back over 2017 we can see the many ways God has been good to us and blessed us beyond what we deserve. INDEED HE DESERVES ALL THE PRAISE WE CAN GIVE TO HIM! SO LET'S DO IT! 2018 is about to meet us head on and we have NO IDEA WHAT IT IS GOING TO GIVE US WIHTIN THE NEXT 365 DAYS! The Lord could come. Some of us will die. We all will face trials. We all will have disappointments. We all will experience blessings. BUT WHAT WE KNOW FOR SURE IS THAT WE DO NOT KNOW ALL THAT THE NEW YEAR WILL BRING US. Certainly the words of Joshua 3:4 in our text truly apply as we face the New Year, "YE HAVE NOT PASSED THIS WAY HERETOFORE." ONE THING WE DO KNOW is that God will be with us to give us all the strength, wisdom and energy we need to do His will. But in the process of our FORWARD BOUND MOTION INTO THE NEW YEAR there are certain realities we should keep before us if we desire to have a YEAR OF SPIRITUAL GROWTH AND VICTORY FOR THE LORD. Joshua 3:1-17 presents FOUR OF THOSE REALITIES FOR US TO CONSIDER. Let's consider them.

WISE MEN SEEK CHRIST
"WISE MEN SEEK CHRIST"
MATTHEW 2:1-12
INTRO: The Gospels of Matthew and Luke dedicate FOUR INFORMATIVE CHAPTERS AND 180 GLORIOUS VERSES to relate the where, the how and the why Jesus came into the world. One of those passages is in Matthew chapter 2 that describes the COMING OF THE WISE MEN to visit Jesus as a small child in the home of Mary and Joseph which occurred anywhere between six months and two years after Jesus was born. This account has many applications for us in our time that we will consider today.

GREAT TITLES OF JESUS CHRIST
"GREAT TITLES OF JESUS CHRIST"
JOHN 1:35-51
INTRO: In the Gospel of John Jesus is presented as GOD. But throughout the Fourth Gospel various TITLES are given to Jesus Christ as God. Normally when we think of John 1:35-51 we think of Christ's calling of His first disciples, namely ANDREW, PETER, PHILIP AND NATHANAEL. But, in the process of the context, we also see EIGHT TITLES OF CHRIST that we should become familiar with if we want to have a greater understanding of WHO JESUS REALLY IS. SO, LET'S OBSERVE THESE TITLES IN OUR STUDY TODAY.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
NOTE: THERE ARE AT LEAST 200 TITLES OF CHRIST IN SCRIPTURE.

BEHOLD THE LAMB OF GOD
"BEHOLD THE LAMB OF GOD"
JOHN 1:19-34
++++++++++++
INTRO: During the Christmas Season a lot takes place as we "supposedly" celebrate the Incarnation of Jesus Christ. There are parties at work, programs at church, parades in towns, and presents exchanged among friends...just to name a few things that occur. But all too often we miss out on a great opportunity to focus on Christ and particularly the DOCTRINE OF CHRIST, known as CHRISTOLOGY. Truly as we look forward to "CHRIST-MAS" we should endeavor to FOCUS ON CHRIST so as to exalt and worship Him more effectively. Last week we studied John 1:1-18 and observed A GLORIOUS PRESENTATION OF CHRIST when we highlighted 14 great components of our Lord and His ministry. Today we shall continue our walk through The Gospel of John chapter one in order to learn MORE about our wonderful Savior as found in the words of verse 19 where John the Baptist says, "BEHOLD THE LAMB OF GOD WHICH TAKETH AWAY THE SINS OF THE WORLD." This is a VERY SIGNIFICANT STATEMENT made by John the Baptist that we cannot afford to neglect. So let's take a close look at it this morning.

A GLORIOUS PRESENTATION OF JESUS CHRIST
“A GLORIOUS PRESENTATION OF JESUS CHRIST”
JOHN 1:1-18
INTRO: Christmas is a great time of the year for many reasons. But perhaps the greatest reason is that it gives us the opportunity to focus on the GREAT DOCTRINE OF CHRIST KNOWN AS CHRISTOLOGY. Unfortunately and all too often we get focused on other “HOLIDAY THINGS” and the greatness of Christ is sidelined. So, today, as we are beginning our approach to Christmas, let’s take a verse by verse trip through the first chapter of the Gospel of John and observe A GLORIOUS PRESENTATION OF JESUS CHRIST RIGHT FROM THE HEART OF GOD HIMSELF.

PERSONAL PREPARATION FOR SPIRITUAL SERVICE
"PERSONAL PREPARATION FOR SPIRITUAL SERVICE"
ISAIAH 6:1-8
INTRO: When a person joins one of the military branches of the Armed Forces, he must go off to basic training in order to prepare for the service he will conduct as a member of the military. That basic training is designed to transform him from a regular citizen of America to one who is equipped to serve America in combat if necessary. Then, throughout his military career, he continues to train in order to prepare for whatever he may face in promoting and defending the nation. The same scenario relates to those of us who are in the service of the Lord. We are saved to serve the Lord and must be prepared to do all that it takes to promote and defend the truth of the Gospel. If we are properly prepared, we will succeed as God desires. If we are not properly prepared, we will fail in the mission. A great lesson on PERSONAL PREPARATION FOR SPIRITUAL SERVICE is seen in Isaiah 6 as Isaiah relates his call to the ministry. In this passage are FIVE GREAT PRINCIPLES ISAIAH EXPERIENCED that equipped him to be what is referred to as THE GREATEST OLD TESTAMENT PROPHET! Each of these principles applies to us in our PREPARATION FOR SPIRITUAL SERVICE as well. Let’s examine them today.

WHY BEHOLD YOUR GOD?
“WHY BEHOLD YOUR GOD?”
ISAIAH 40:1-31
INTRO: Recently we have completed our study on ISAIAH 40 under the title of BEHOLD YOUR GOD. What a study it has been and I trust it has made a positive impact upon our lives spiritually speaking. To a certain degree, I have struggled in delivering the sermons of this study for the following reasons:
1) Because as a human being, I am so limited in communicating the GREATNESS OF GOD in a sermon series.
2) Because my desire was to obey God and lay out before you the FIFTEEN GREAT THINGS about God in this chapter with the proper teaching of the text that would result in our service, praise, and worship of Him.
3) Because I did not want the series to be above our heads to the point that we just “BLOW IT AWAY” as simply another sermon or Bible study.
Today I want us to bring this series to closure, as it were, by asking the question: “WHY BEHOLD YOUR GOD?” Some of this will be a review. But I trust all of it will be refreshing and lead us to the point that DAILY WE WILL FOCUS ON GOD BECAUSE OF WHO HE IS…HE IS GOD AND GOD ALONE!Sermon preached on 10/22/17 AM by Pastor Gary G. Dull

THE BLESSED UNITY OF THE PEOPLE OF GOD
"THE BLESSED UNITY OF THE PEOPLE OF GOD"
PSALM 133:1-3
INTRO: One of the most ENJOYABLE THINGS to experience is the UNITY OF BELIEVERS IN THE BODY OF CHRIST! In fact, there is nothing else like it, whether it is here in our own fellowship or when you travel to a foreign land and are in the midst of another culture with a different language. FELLOWSHIP AND UNITY AMONG CHRISTIANS IS SOMETHING THAT THE WORLD CANNOT EXPERIENCE TO ANY DEGREE. IT IS ALL AND ONLY POSSIBLE THROUGH THE WORK OF CHRIST FOR US ON THE CROSS AND THROUGH FAITH IN HIM THAT WE ARE RECONCILED TO HIM AND PLACED IN HIS BODY FOREVER! On the other hand, THERE IS NOTHING WORSE THAN FOR BELIEVERS IN CHRIST to have division and disunity. In fact, that is EXACTLY WHAT SATAN WANTS and WORKS TOWARD every day. WHEN THE BODY OF CHRIST IS DIVIDED THE WORK OF CHRIST ON EARTH IN HINDERED. So when we are tempted to be DISUNIFIED with another Christian and do things that will bring DISCORD INTO THE CHUCH, let's pause for a bit and ask a personal question. WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING? BEING INVOLVED IN DISUNITY OR CONTRIBUTING TO THE COMPLETION OF THE WORK OF CHRIST? In this message we are going to consider THE BLESSED UNITY OF THE PEOPLE OF GOD from Psalm 133.Sermon preached on 10/8/17 PM by Pastor Gary G. Dull

A REMINDER OF OUR GREAT GOD
"A REMINDER OF OUR GREAT GOD"
"BEHOLD YOUR GOD"
ISAIAH 40:28-31
INTRO: In our study of Isaiah 40 we have learned some great things about OUR GREAT GOD! The question before us NOW is HOW HAVE WE BEEN RESPONDING TO THE GREATNESS OF GOD as the result of this study? Let's not allow this study to come to an end without answering this question because the MORE we understand the GREATNESS OF GOD the MORE we will be SERVING AND WORSHIPPING HIM according to HIS GREATNESS. Today we are coming to the last FOUR VERSES of this GREAT CHAPTER and it is interesting to see that verse 28 begins by asking some questions for us to consider. It is as though the Holy Spirit led Isaiah to ask these questions so that we will not come to the end of the chapter without RESPONDING TO GOD'S GREATNESS. Let's observe the text so as to once again REMIND OURSELVES OF THE GREATNESS OF OUR GREAT GOD.Sermon preached on 10/8/17 AM by Pastor Gary G. Dull

THE GOLDEN RULE
“THE GOLDEN RULE”
MATTHER 7:12; LUKE 6:31
INTRO: There is no doubt in my mind that most Christians know the GOLDEN RULE: “DO UNTO OTHERS AS YOU WOULD HAVE THEM DO UNTO YOU.” Many of us have learned the GOLDEN RULE in VBS or Sunday School. But the real question is: DO WE PRACTICE THE GOLDEN RULE? THE COMFORT OF GOD
"THE COMFORT OF GOD"
ISAIAH 40:1
INTRO: Many people are in situations where they need COMFORT but cannot find it through human resources. The need of COMFORT comes for many reasons and from many circumstances and so often the ability to be COMFORTED by another person is just not possible. BUT THE BIBLE SAYS THAT GOD IS THE "GOD OF ALL COMFORT" AND IS ALWAYS AVAILABLE AND ALWAYS HAS THE ABILITY TO PROVIDE THE COMFORT WE NEED. So today, let's talk a bit about The COMFORT OF GOD FROM ISAIAH 40:1.Sermon preached on 9/10/17 AM by Pastor Gary G. Dull

THE BIBLICAL PRINCIPLE OF LABOR
"THE BIBLICAL PRINCIPLE OF LABOR"
INTRO: This is LABOR DAY WEEKEND and therefore it is very appropriate for us to examine and see what the Bible has to say about LABOR. The study of the Word of God reveals THREE TYPES OF LABOR.
Physical Labor
Spiritual Labor
Divine Labor
Understanding these THREE TYPES OF LABOR and ordering our lives accordingly will enable us to be better equipped to serve our Lord Jesus. So briefly today in this message we shall consider THE BIBLICAL PRINCIPLE OF LABOR.

A HEART’S DESIRE FOR MISSIONS
“A HEART’S DESIRE FOR MISSIONS”
ROMANS 10:1-4
INTRO: Over the years of my ministry I have often wondered why many Christians and many good churches have not really been motivated to get involved in missions. But in reading Romans 10:1-4 the answer as to why ANY ONE is motivated to be involved in missions is clearly seen through the testimony of the Apostle Paul. What we see from this text is that INVOLVEMENT IN MISSIONS IS A MATTER OF THE HEART OF THE INDIVIDUAL! When one’s heart is aligned with the Word of God concerning the condition of the LOST and the reality of the GREAT COMMISSION, then one will also be involved in missions. So let’s examine this passage and as we do let’s each ask the question: “IS MY HEART ALIGNED WITH THE HEART OF GOD CONCERNING THE MATTER OF MISSIONS?” -
THE NEED OF NATIONAL REVIVAL
THE NEED OF NATIONAL REVIVAL
JONAH 3:1-10
INTRO: Down through the years there have been great revivals. One of the greatest national revivals in the history of the world is the one that took place in Nineveh under the preaching of Jonah in about 862 BC. Different revivals worked out differently. But there are some interesting observations we can observe from the revival in Nineveh from Jonah 3. Let's observe:

BEHOLD YOUR GOD
"BEHOLD YOUR GOD"
ISAIAH 40:1-31
TEXT: ISAIAH 40:9b
INTRO: WHY DOES GOD EXIST? Some may answer: "WHY NOT?" Some may say: "BECAUSE HE WANTS TO." Some may say: "TO CREATE AND SUSTAIN THE UNIVERSE." Some may say: "TO PROVIDE REDEMPTION FOR MANKIND." WHAT WOULD YOU SAY WHY GOD EXISTS? Isaiah chapter 40 is one passage in the scriptures that answers that question. In studying over these precious 31 verses we learn that God exists to GLORIFY HIMSELF through HIS GREATNESS and CARE FOR HIS PEOPLE. Often we forget, overlook or neglect that truth so today we are going to focus on that great truth as consider: BEHOLD YOUR GOD!Sermon preached on 6/25/17 AM by Pastor Gary G. Dull

AN EXORTATION FOR ALL MEN
"AN EXORTATION FOR ALL MEN"
1 CORINTHIANS 16:13,14
INTRO: You have heard it said, "BE ALL YOU CAN BE" by joining the United States Army. But in reality all of GOD'S MEN should determine to "BE ALL THAT GOD WANTS US TO BE." There is a big difference in how that works out.
"BEING ALL YOU CAN BE" builds on personal pride and strength.
"BEING ALL THAT GOD WANTS US TO BE" builds on genuine humility and dependence upon God.
One text of scripture that gives instruction on BEING WHAT GOD WANTS MEN TO BE is 1 Corinthians 16:13,14. Even though this is applicable to MALE AND FEMALE, today we are going to direct it to MEN WHO WANT TO BE TRUE MEN OF GOD.

CONCERNING THE COLLECTION
"CONCERNING THE COLLECTION"
1 CORINTHIANS 16:1-4
INTRO: One of the great commands of scripture is found in Ephesians 5:1 where it says, "BE YE FOLLOWERS OF GOD, AS DEAR CHILREN." Now certainly there are MANY WAYS we can fulfill that admonition as Christians but when the concept of FOLLOWING GOD is studied, one particular area of following Him that rises to the top of the kettle is GIVING! Think about it. God has given us so many things. But the GREATEST THING HE GAVE US was JESUS CHRIST HIS SON...John 3:16. GOD IS A GIVING GOD! He has given us life, provision, care, families, breath, health, brains, and the GREATEST GIFT OF ALL....SALVATION THROUGH JESUS CHIRST. And so, if we are going to FOLLOW GOD AS HE EXPECTS, one way to do so is in GIVING TO HIM. GIVING TO THE LORD IS A GREAT WAY TO SHOW OUR LOVE FOR HIM, AS HE GAVE HIS BEST FOR US THROUGH JESUS CHRIST. Today I want us to consider the concept of BIBLICAL GIVING under the title of "CONCERNING THE COLLECTION."Sermon preached on 5/21/17 AM by Pastor Gary G. Dull

THE WOMAN THAT PLEASES GOD
"THE WOMAN THAT PLEASES GOD"
SCRIPTURE: PROVERBS 31:10-31
TEXT: PROVERBS 31:30
INTRO: Proverbs 31 is very unique and clear in giving the qualities God desires in every woman. Therefore every woman would do well to study Proverbs 31 CONSISTENTLY in order to understand what it is teaching and then conform her life to the principles therein. PROVERBS 31:10-31 DESCRIBES THE WOMAN THAT PLEASES GOD AND IT IS POSSIBLE, THROUGH THE INDWELLING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT, FOR EVERY WOMAN TO APPLY THESE PRINCIPLES TO HER LIFE! Observe what this woman is all about:
1) She is Virtuous - Vs. 10: Meaning that she is a woman of HIGH VALUE AND EXCELLENCE.
2) She is Quality Endowed - Vss. 11-29: Trustworthy, Responsible, Strong, Industrious, Diligent, Helpful, Generous, Fearless, True, Real, Influential, Kind, A Leader, Blessed by her family, and Beautiful in Character.
3) She FEARS THE LORD - Vs. 30: She recognizes God's greatness and respects Him in every thought, word, and deed of her life.Sermon preached on 5/14/17 AM by Pastor Gary G. Dull

DO YOU REALLY LOVE THE BIBLE
“DO YOU REALLY LOVE THE BIBLE?
PSALM 119:97-104
INTRO: DO YOU LOVE THE BIBLE? IF YOU ANSWER YES, HOW DO YOU KNOW YOU LOVE THE BIBLE? These may seem like simple questions, but in reality they are very serious questions as it relates to our walk with the Lord. WHEN WE LOVE THE BIBLE, WE WILL LIVE FOR THE LORD. WHEN WE DO NOT LOVE THE BIBLE, WE DO NOT LIVE FOR THE LORD. Now the problem is that there are many Christians who “SAY” they LOVE THE BIBLE but their life style does not show it. You see, when you love the Bible, your life will reveal the Bible in attitudes, actions and activities. So, before we go any further in this sermon, let me ask you this question, and please be honest with your self. DOES YOUR LIFE REVEAL THE BIBLE TO OTHERS? Today from Psalm 119 we are going to see what loving the Bible really is all about and I pray we will all truthfully examine our lives accordingly.

MOVING AHEAD WITH RESPONSIBILITY
“MOVING AHEAD WITH RESPONSIBILITY”
2 CORINTHIANS 5:8-11
INTRO: The Christian life is a GREAT LIFE! There is no other type of living in the world, religious or non-religious, that offers all of the love, joy, peace, strength, mercy and hope as the CHRISTIAN LIFE. But the Christian life is more than the here and now! In fact, by its very nature, the Christian life is one that is to MOVE FORWARD WITH RESPONSIBILITY that, if properly lived will result in GREAT REWARD FROM GOD HIMSELF. The passage we have before us is one that presents FOUR CLEAR PRINCIPLES that are necessary for MOVING FORWARD WITH RESPONSIBILITY in the Christian life that will result in believers hearing God utter the phrase “WELL DONE, THOU GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVANT.” Let’s observe.Sermon preached on 4/23/17 AM by Pastor Gary G.
