"IN THE FULLESS OF THE TIME...GOD SENT FORTH JESUS WITH PERFORMANCE"
    LUKE 2:1-20

INTRO: In the last four weeks we have been taking a close look at what GOD THE FATHER DID THROUGH JESUS CHRIST IN THE FULNESS OF THE TIME at His incarnation. I pray that this series has not only been a blessing to you, but has raised your appreciation for WHAT GOD DID FOR YOU THROUGH CHRIST. God the Father sent God the Son into the world to do a GREAT WORK through PRECISION, PURPOSE AND PROMISE for which we should all rejoice....DO YOU? Today we are going to complete our series by observing from Luke 2:1-20 that GOD SENT FORTH JESUS WITH PERFORMANCE for which WE SHOULD REJOICE and for which GOD THE FATHER IS HONORED. Let's take a good look at that GREAT PERFORMANCE God the Father did through God the Son.

  • IN THE FULLNESS OF THE TIME GOD SENT FORTH JESUS WITH PROMISE

    CHRISTMAS SERIES
"IN THE FULNESS OF THE TIME GOD SENT FORTH JESUS"
    PART THREE
"IN THE FULNESS OF THE TIME GOD SENT FORTH JESUS WITH PROMISE"
    MATTHEW 1:1-18

INTRO: So far in our Christmas Series entitled "IN THE FULNESS OF THE TIME GOD SENT FORTH JESUS," we have noted that GOD SENT FORTH JESUS WITH PRECISION AND PURPOSE. These are practical studies as they are putting together for us the fact that GOD PLANNED REDEMPTION THROUGH CHRIST AND THEN WORKED OUT EVERY DETAIL THROUGH HIS SOVEREIGN PROVIDENTIAL CONTROL. As we consider this, our response should be that of PRAISE, ADORATION AND WORSHIP of ALMIGHTY GOD as we go through the SEASON OF INCARNATION. Today we are going to continue in our study and note that GOD SENT FORTH JESUS WITH PROMISE. What PROMISE am I speaking of? The passage of scripture before us gives FOUR GREAT PROMISES surrounding the birth of Christ that not only reveals that God keeps His promises but has a plan that has eternal results.

  • IN THE FULNESS OF THE TIME...GOD SENT FORTH JESUS WITH PURPOSE

    CHRISTMAS SERIES
"IN THE FULNESS OF THE TIME...GOD SENT FORTH JESUS"
    PART TWO
"IN THE FULNESS OF THE TIME...GOD SENT FORTH JESUS WITH
    PURPOSE"
    JOHN 1:1-18

INTRO: In the last study of our Christmas Series we noted that IN THE
FULNESS OF THE TIME GOD SENT FORTH JESUS WITH PRECISION. In
that study we learned that everything God did in the incarnation of Christ had
great precision in that God had A PRECISE TIME, A PRECISE SON, A
PRECISE WOMAN, and A PRECISE PURPOSE. IN OUR STUDY TODAY
from John 1:1-18 we are going to note that IN THE FULNESS OF THE TIME
GOD SENT FORTH JESUS WITH PURPOSE. WHAT WAS THAT
PURPOSE? In reality, we could list a number of things. But BIBLICALLY
SPEAKING, all of those things can be placed into one purpose: GOD SENT
JESUS CHRIST INTO THE WORLD TO DECLARE HIM. Yes, God's purpose
for the INCARNATION was to DECLARE HIS ALL THAT HE IS THROUGH
    JESUS CHRIST.

  • GOD SENT FORTH JESUS WITH PRECISION

    CHRISTMAS SERIES
“IN THE FULNESS OF THE TIME…GOD SENT FORTH JESUS”
    PART ONE
“IN THE FULNESS OF THE TIME…GOD SENT FORTH JESUS WITH PRECISION”
    GALATIANS 4:1-6

INTRO: Christmas is a blessed time of the year, but often we miss its real meaning. Theologically, Christmas has nothing to do with trees, decorations, parties and the giving of presents to others. Theologically, Christmas has to do with HONORING GOD FOR WHAT HE DID IN THE INCARNATION OF JESUS CHRIST. Therefore, for the next four weeks we are going to be involved with a study that centers on our CHRISTMAS THEME around the Church, which is IN THE FULNESS OF THE TIME…GOD SENT FORTH JESUS. As we begin our study this morning we will note from Galatians 4 that GOD SENT FORTH JESUS WITH PRECISION….That precision has enabled Jesus to be the perfect God-man and perfect Savior of the world.

  • A CALL TO GIVE THANKS

    “A CALL TO GIVE THANKS”
    1 THESSALONIANS 5:18

INTRO: From the pages of the Word of God we find that THE GIVING OF THANKS should be a consistent element in the life of the Believer in Christ. Among the holidays we celebrate, THANKSGIVING is possibly the most significant because, in scripture, we are not told to celebrate Christmas or Easter, BUT THANKSGIVING IS TO BE A CHARACTERISTIC OF OUR LIFE. In fact, over and over again in the Bible we are exhorted to BE THANKFUL or to GIVE THANKS UNTO GOD. For a few minutes today let’s consider THE CALL OF THANKSGIVING that is given to us in 1 Thessalonians 5:18. As we do, sincerely ask yourself this question: “AM I A THANKFUL CHRISTIAN?”
THE REALITY OF 1 THESSALONIANS 5:18 IN THE BELIEVER'S LIFE
RECOGNIZING THAT GOD IS IN CONTROL OF OUR LIVES AS BELIEVERS WE ARE TO BE THANKFUL IN EVERYTHING WE FACE KNOWING THAT GOD IS WORKING ALL THINGS TOGETHER FOR OUR GOOD AND HIS GLORY – ROMANS 8:28

  • THE REALITY OF BIBLICAL SALVATION

    "THE REALITY OF BIBLICAL SALVATION"
    ACTS 4:1-12; 1 PETER 1:1-12

INTRO: The word "SALVATION" is VERY COMMON among those who claim to be Christians, both here in American and around the world. But the problem is that THERE ARE MANY PEOPLE WHO DO NOT HAVE THE BIBLICAL CONCEPT OF WHAT SALVATION IS AND HOW TO OBTAIN IT. In fact, there are many who claim to be Christians who are following a FALSE ROAD TO SALVATION and sadly, they will spend eternity in a CHRISTLESS ETERNITY IN THE LAKE OF FIRE. (Matthew 7:21-23; Revelation 20:11-15).

  • THE NEED FOR GOD

    "THE NEED FOR GOD"
    PSALM 16:1-11

INTRO: Evangelist Billy Graham said in 2013 before conducting a huge WORLD-WIDE MEDIA EVANGELISTIC CRUSADE, "IF WE EVER NEEDED GOD'S HELP, IT IS NOW." That is so true. But even though it is TRUE that we are in need of God, we are also in an era when many people are turning AWAY from God rather than turning TO God. FOR INSTANCE:
-IN SOCIETY: Secularism is growing, Absolute Truth is denied, Religion is being rejected, Godless philosophy is on the rise, etc.
-IN THE CHURCH: Evangelism is dying, Church attendance is reduced, Worldly standards are being accepted, Sound Doctrine is being rejected, etc.
YES, WE NEED GOD NOW MORE THAN EVER. THE QUESTION IS: WHY DO SO MANY, INCLUDING SOME CHRISTIANS, NOT SEE THE NEED FOR GOD? THE ANSWER IS: MANY DO NOT KNOW THE BENEFITS OF GOD! (Is so because many fail to read and study the Bible). PSALM 16 presents some of the BENEFITS OF GOD that will, if we have any heart for God at all, lead us to recognizing our INDIVIDUAL NEED OF GOD to the point that we will develop a VITAL RELATIONSHIP WITH HIM.

  • WE CANNOT BE WITHOUT LIFE

    "WE CANNOT BE WITHOUT LIFE"
    DEUTERONOMY 30:11-20

INTRO: As we come to the end of our study on "WHAT WE CANNOT BE WITHOUT," we are going to look at a subject that may seem to be rather obvious. In fact, some of you may even wonder why we are even considering this topic. WHAT IS THE TOPIC? Today we are going to note that WE CANNOT BE WITHOUT LIFE. Certainly that is VERY OBVIOUS, but it is SO OBVIOUS that we may even NEGLECT THINKING ABOUT IT as we go about our days. According to our scripture text, LIFE IS SO IMPORTANT THAT GOD TELLS US TO CHOOSE LIFE, and by doing so, experience a blessing. According to our text, CHOOSING LIFE says a lot about US and even relates to how GOD responds to us. So, let's take a look at the fact that WE CANNOT BE WITHOUT LIFE and WHY THAT IS SO SIGNIFICANT.

  • WHAT IS TRUTH

    “WHAT IS TRUTH?”
    JOHN 18:28-40

INTRO: WHAT IS TRUTH? HOW WOULD YOU ANSWER THAT QUESTION? WHAT IS TRUTH? If we are going to live effectively and glorify God in the process WE MUST KNOW THE ANSWER TO THAT QUESTION.
