Today commemorates the occasion that has changed the entire world!  This is the day that we celebrate the RESURRECTION OF OUR WONDERFUL LORD AND SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST FROM THE DEAD!  This is the day in which Satan was defeated 1981 years ago.  This is the day in which Jesus Christ conquered sin and the grave in 30 AD.  This is the day when it became possible for those of us who have trusted Jesus Christ as our personal Savior became MORE THAN CONQUERORS IN JESUS CHRIST. THIS IS THE DAY THE LORD HATH MADE…LET US BE GLAD, VERY GLAD, AND REJOICE IN IT, FOR CHRIST HAS RISEN FROM THE DEAD, NEVER TO DIE ANY MORE, AND THEREFORE HE IS ALIVE FOR EVER MORE AND HAS BECOME THE FIRSTFRUITS OF THOSE THAT SLEEP IN HIM!  AMEN!  HE LIVES!  AND BECAUSE HE LIVES, WE CAN FACE TOMORROW!  BECAUSE HE HAS RISEN, WE (AS BELIEVERS IN CHRIST) HAVE THE ASURANCE OF ETERNAL LIFE WITH HIM IN HEAVEN!  PRAISE THE LORD!  AMEN!  HALLELUJAH!  GLORY!

WOW!  WHAT A DAY THIS IS as we will gather together with others of like precious faith to celebrate His power, His victory, His salvation, His mercy, His grace, His love His Deity, and His majesty!  Jesus Christ is the One Who is WORTHY TO BE PRAISED!

You know, today many people will go to church who hardly go any other time of the year.  On one hand that is sad.  It is sad for them because it shows that Jesus Christ is not a priority in their lives.  We must pray for them.  As you see people in church today that you know has not been there since last year, pray for them, and then welcome them to the service.  Make them feel comfortable.  Do not chide them for being there for a year, but thank them for coming today.  You know, as a pastor, I am thankful for those who will be in church today because I will have the honor of preaching the Word of God to them.  Many will be going to church today because of tradition.  Many will be going to church today to be with their families.  Many will be going to church today, and will not even consider seriously what Jesus really did for them 1981 years ago.  But all of them will hear the Word of God as I speak from Acts 1:3 on THE MANY INFALLIBLE PROOFS OF THE RESURRECTION OF JESUS CHRIST FROM THE DEAD!

As we approach church services today, please pray for the following.

    1)      Please pray that we will all sense the presence of the Lord in our midst.

    2)      Please pray that that we all will have a very open heart and mind to the Word of God.

    3)      Please pray that that those who are unsaved will come to the Risen Christ as Savior.

    4)      Please pray that those who only attend church once or twice a year will make a commitment to be regular church goers today.

    5)      Please pray that those of us who are born again Christians will truly worship the Lord Jesus in spirit and in truth today and will leave the services committed to serve Christ more than ever before.

WHAT A DAY THIS IS GOING TO BE!  I CANNOT WAIT TO GET TO CHURCH AND REJOICE WITH YOU AND OTHERS OVER THE RISEN SAVIOR, JESUS CHRIST THE LORD!  I AM EXCITED!

The Lord has given us a wonderful week, beginning with last Sunday which was Palm Sunday.  The special services at the church Wednesday and Thursday evening were such a blessing.  The Good Friday service was much more than I expected, and to be honest, I cannot find words to express how I was blessed as a result.  Certainly God smiled down upon us and I believe He was glorified.  If you can, please go to the church web site, www.fbcaltoona.organd read the comments that folks have written about the service as they watched on live stream.  With exception of a few who were negative because they did not understand what took place, the comments are a blessing to read,  I was encouraged and  I am sure you will be too.  God has been very good to us this week, as always.  PRAISE HIS NAME!

Today, as we go to church, let us be ready to sing praises unto Him.  Let us be ready to worship Him in genuineness.  Let us be ready to give unto Him.

This is the day we have set aside to give a special gift unto the Lord for the building fund at the church. We have been praying for this day for several weeks now.  So, let us give what God  has placed upon our hearts in this special opportunity.  Remember, there will not be an extra offering lifted, so, when you arrive at church, get an envelope out of the pew, put your gift therein, and mark it “building fund.”  What a great day to give unto the Lord as we honor Him for giving His life for us.  Amen?  Amen!

I trust you have been blessed by this Easter season as much as I have.  It has been wonderful.   I have been edified by spending some extra time reading about Christ’s resurrection from the pages of scripture.  I have been encouraged by the services at the church, and I trust you have as well.  Now, I just want to go to church and say, “JESUS, THANK YOU FOR WHO YOU ARE AND FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE FOR ME!  THANK YOU FOR YOUR WONDERFUL SALVATION!  THANK YOU FOR THE HOME YOU HAVE PROVIDED FOR ME IN HEAVEN.  THANK YOU THAT I WILL BE ABLE TO SPEND ETERNITY WITH YOU IN A LAND WITHOUT TEARS AND A TIME WITHOUT END.”  I cannot wait to get there.  How about you?  See you in church!

Finally, I trust you have enjoyed and have been as blessed by reading these special editions of FROM MY STUDY as I have been in writing them to you.  Thank the Lord for the opportunity we have had to learn together in this special way this week.

THE LORD HAS RISEN!  HE HAS RISEN INDEED!

    AMEN!
